BRENT LATHAM – USA 10 Kit has learned that historic EPL contender Liverpool has extended an offer to U.S. U-17 midfielder Marc Pelosi.
Pelosi would join the prestigious northern England side under a deal that sources close to the player describe as “very good for him.”
The dynamic midfielder played in three of the Americans’ four games in the Under-17 World Cup in Mexico, missing out on the round of 16 clash with Germany after picking up a pair of yellow cards in the final group match.
He has also been linked to Tottenham and unidentified Bundesliga clubs, but is now likely to join the Reds in the short term.“Marc just received a very good offer from Liverpool which is great for him,” the player’s father, John, confirmed. Pelosi was yet to contract an agent so as to keep open the possibility of playing college soccer in the U.S.
That now looks unlikely for the German-American, whose dual passport status means there would be no holdups with work permits in England.

Congratulations for Marc. Liverpool’s academy is headed by a Barcelona guy, Pep Segura, so it’s hard to imagine many better places for him. By the same token, it’ll be extraordinarily difficult for him to break through at Liverpool. Good luck.
Hard work, maybe a couple of loan-spells and reserve play and the he comes on and gets the test in a cup match against a lower championship or League 1 Team. I’m so desperate for bright spots these days, that I’m already willing to jump on the bandwagon!! Don’t F’ Up!! We’re all counting on you!
Deja-Vu, I feel like we’re piling all our shattered hopes and dreams on top of a kid that shows even a hint of promise at a young age way too often now; but, whatever I’ll throw in my two cents. . . We have to keep a close watch and not let him f*** up with the contracts like Rossi…
