CONCACAF U-20 Tournament Set for Guatemala in April

The dates and location for the 2011 regional qualifying tournament that will send four teams from the region to Colombia later in the year have been announced.

The tournament will be played April 3-17 in Guatemala. Thomas Rongen will try to qualify his squad once again for the biannual tournament.

The championship will presumably take place at Estadio Cementos Progreso, which features a newly installed field turf pitch. It’s the same stadium where the women’s U-20 tournament was played earlier this year.

U-20 or U-16 Womens world cup qualifier tournament was held there a few months back. I think FSC covered a few matches. It looked really nice. Good, green, with trees.
Really sad at the end. USA had like a +28 goal differential but couldn’t get one past Canada after 120min. It went to PKs and one poor girl choked and lobbed it over the cross-bar and cost the USA it’s place in the cup.
